In the 37th minute, Antônio Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Vittori was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Kepa Arrizabalaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Makis Apostolakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Xande Chaves got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the referee blew the final whistle, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ could leave the field as winners, despite Italy having more of the ball for most of the match.
