Angelo Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Ahrem in the 3rd minute of play. Kurt Ahrem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Angelo Ugutz made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mansilha in the 11th minute of play forced Países Bajos's goalkeeper Angelo Ugutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Lutz Golke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academica Pulheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Lutz Golke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Ugutz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Mansilha in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes Países Bajos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alex Mansilha who took care of the corner kick. Reinhard Baum kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Angelo Ugutz made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Kurt Ahrem sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd match minute, Países Bajos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Tebaldo to maneuver through the defense. Lutz Golke kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Kurt Ahrem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Kretschmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Ugutz having to interfere. The Países Bajos fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Países Bajos's Timos Kavourakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 41 played minutes Países Bajos got a freekick which was hit by Timos Kavourakis.

Países Bajos's Orlando Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Países Bajos's Angelo Ugutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Mansilha in the 59th minute of play. If Lutz Golke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Peixoto in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paul Heyckendorf, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 68th minute Maxime Vrints shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Ahrem to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf got control of the ball when Orlando Peixoto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paul Heyckendorf didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Países Bajos's Timos Kavourakis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Artaldo in the 75th minute of play. In the 75th minute Camilo Artaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Heyckendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Artaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 78 in the game by Dalmacio Tebaldo from a close distance when the talented Paul Heyckendorf managed to make a qualified save. Academica Pulheim's players were relieved. Paul Heyckendorf was a little too slow when Orlando Peixoto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 1-3. A collision led to Academica Pulheim getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Kurt Ahrem hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmacio Tebaldo got free with Paul Heyckendorf in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxime Vrints in the 89th minute of play forced Países Bajos's goalkeeper Angelo Ugutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryszard Adamski kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to Países Bajos getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dalmacio Tebaldo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Alex Mansilha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Ugutz was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When Kurt Ahrem came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Academica Pulheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Ahrem couldn't finish the play. The Países Bajos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Países Bajos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
