In the 11th minute Joaquim Vilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shaki Conn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Luisito James shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilbur Hyde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Luisito James was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ForestFire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Canalla de Chicago the free kick. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. El Canalla de Chicago's Wilbur Hyde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save El Canalla de Chicago from getting a goal against them. El Canalla de Chicago's Domingo Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danial Dunbar in the 32nd minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Wilbur Hyde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elton Brewster made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Danial Dunbar. In the 44th minute Tracy Shah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilbur Hyde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, El Canalla de Chicago's Wilbur Hyde got control of the ball when Luisito James tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Vilar in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shaki Conn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilbur Hyde made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Tracy Shah sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Vilar to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Canalla de Chicago's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luisito James was slow to take the kick. During this time ForestFire's players had a chance to rest. 55 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito James came free, but Wilbur Hyde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Vilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Shaki Conn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Vilar in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shaki Conn saved ForestFire from getting behind. Lance Green charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lance Green the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. El Canalla de Chicago's Cary Ackerman was substituted for Domingo Lopez. In the 88th minute, one of ForestFire:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ForestFire. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Vilar in the 93rd minute of play forced ForestFire's goalkeeper Shaki Conn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when ForestFire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito James didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chants of El Canalla de Chicago echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as ForestFire had held the ball for most of the match.
