Rasvan Cristescu scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taco Uebels, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When AC Pitt Bier's Stefan Pieters in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. AC Pitt Bier's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan-Åke Fransson in the 26th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jan-Åke Fransson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carol Stinga quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 27th minute of play forced AC Pitt Bier's goalkeeper Taco Uebels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romania's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adam Olaru in the 28th minute. A nice corner shot did that Costica Vladimiri got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Taco Uebels quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 29th minute Romania were awarded a corner. Adam Olaru went to the cornerflag to take it. Taco Uebels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rasvan Cristescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adam Olaru took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taco Uebels. Taco Uebels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Carol Stinga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Pieters, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Olaru to strike the kick off in the second half. Taco Uebels made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Costica Vladimiri sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Romania's Taco Uebels threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Costica Vladimiri, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Costica Vladimiri took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taco Uebels. Taco Uebels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 57th minute of play forced AC Pitt Bier's goalkeeper Taco Uebels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taco Uebels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costica Vladimiri in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Pitt Bier's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sanda Cutov was slow to take the kick. During this time Romania's players had a chance to rest. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Romania's Anton Stinga in the 65th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Taco Uebels was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for AC Pitt Bier through an amazing save. With an all-out effort, Romania's Taco Uebels threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Costica Vladimiri, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Taco Uebels successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Costica Vladimiri struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Taco Uebels didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romania. Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu was substituted for Alex Serban. AC Pitt Bier made a substitution. Elco Das replaced Martijn Makaay. AC Pitt Bier's Taco Uebels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Stinga in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Stefan Pieters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Pitt Bier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romania the free kick. A collision led to AC Pitt Bier getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Stefan Pieters hit a great ball. Elco Das fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carol Stinga having to interfere. If Octavian Vaduva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romania played a much better game than AC Pitt Bier and deserved their victory. The AC Pitt Bier players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
