The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giacomo Casanova, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. It was a well-played corner which Henric Vallander managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Giacomo Casanova sent off a good shot on target. Janik Vogt's late challenge caught a La Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Janik Vogt helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of La Boys booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giacomo Casanova's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Börge Erserman's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Börge Erserman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Germany booed when La Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börge Erserman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giacomo Casanova in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Henric Vallander tried to sneak it across the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Vallander came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Henric Vallander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Jarl Bröms managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarl Bröms was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Bernt Hedling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernt Hedling in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute Giacomo Casanova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Henric Vallander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giacomo Casanova in the 75th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Hedling in the 77th minute of play. Alex Falck made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. Janik Vogt hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. Albin Holweck's late challenge caught a La Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Holweck helped the player get up and apologised. Albin Holweck kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Giacomo Casanova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Giacomo Casanova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Sachs shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
