A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Mattin Solbeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilius Gudavičius scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Tacheros de Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Anundsson to maneuver through the defense. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Frank Sachs took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Gregorio Lehior to make any attempt to save it. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattin Solbeida in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match Tacheros de Buenos Aires got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ali Haydar Tolgunay ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ali Haydar Tolgunay almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. Mattin Solbeida took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattin Solbeida in the 44th minute of play. When Mattin Solbeida came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tacheros de Buenos Aires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattin Solbeida couldn't finish the play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. In the 51st minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Lehior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Germany booed when Tacheros de Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Guilabertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Gregorio Lehior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattin Solbeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 60th minute of play. Vilius Gudavičius's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vilius Gudavičius helped the player get up and apologised. Mattin Solbeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattin Solbeida in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Tacheros de Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Anundsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Lehior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattin Solbeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute of the match Tacheros de Buenos Aires got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ali Haydar Tolgunay ran over to the corner to take the kick. 78 minutes into the game, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Vilius Gudavičius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 80th minute of play forced Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Gregorio Lehior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattin Solbeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattin Solbeida in the 89th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alejandro Nicholas fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacheros de Buenos Aires's protests and gave Alejandro Nicholas a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Tacheros de Buenos Aires got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Nicholas. Janik Vogt hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
