Wim Wilmes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahadırhan Mertol in the 15th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 18th minute of play forced Cide Spor's goalkeeper Federico Fagondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Luckham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bahadırhan Mertol made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Bahadırhan Mertol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Bahadırhan Mertol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Luckham in the 57th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Richard Luckham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When Richard Luckham came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Cide Spor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Luckham couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Cide Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Mathijn Doctor came free, but Federico Fagondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
