An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 3rd minute of play forced Fcion C.A.'s goalkeeper Olgierd Walczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olgierd Walczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 7th minute, Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 11 minutes into the match, Fcion C.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Siebe Michiels came free, but Olgierd Walczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Casper Claes, 2-1. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fcion C.A.'s Olgierd Walczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 25th minute of play. Olgierd Walczak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Olgierd Walczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 37th minute of play. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Edward Vanderstraeten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olgierd Walczak was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Edward Vanderstraeten sped through Fcion C.A.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olgierd Walczak. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when David Muñoz made the kick off in the second half. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Olgierd Walczak made a huge save. 62 minutes into the match, Fcion C.A.'s goalkeeper Olgierd Walczak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. 63 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Olgierd Walczak made a huge save. With a little luck, Fcion C.A.'s Olgierd Walczak got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olgierd Walczak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Yves Dervaux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute David Muñoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Vanderstraeten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olgierd Walczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olgierd Walczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Benjamim Rollheiser took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Claes. Casper Claes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Belgium's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Fcion C.A. had won, even though Belgium had held more of the ball.
