Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Eugeniusz Rykaczewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Eugeniusz Rykaczewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in SMOCZANKA MIELEC's zone, Daniel Pimentel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maksymilian Oliszewski came out of the goal and Daniel Pimentel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes in the game Bertil Ekström did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eugeniusz Rykaczewski. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugeniusz Rykaczewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Malafaia kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Daniel Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 25 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maksymilian Oliszewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Bastos in the 27th minute of play forced SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goalkeeper Maksymilian Oliszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maksymilian Oliszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 33rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Barreto in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maksymilian Oliszewski saved SMOCZANKA MIELEC from getting behind. In the 39th minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maksymilian Oliszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Lewandowski took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 45th minute, Caetano Moreira made a precise shot to the right of Maksymilian Oliszewski. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugeniusz Rykaczewski to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes SMOCZANKA MIELEC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Malafaia. Bruno Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Sylwester Klimkiewicz was substituted for Eugeniusz Rykaczewski. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Bruno Bastos got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute Cezary Chrzan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game Bartolomeu Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Maksymilian Oliszewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felipinho Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maksymilian Oliszewski having to make a save. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Bartolomeu Dias sped through SMOCZANKA MIELEC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maksymilian Oliszewski. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Portugal had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
