Spectators: 51 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lionel Paly was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FC Wil 1900's Pirmin Jäggi got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute FC Wil 1900 were awarded a corner. Emilio De Luca went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC Wil 1900's Emilio De Luca to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Paly having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 21st minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tory Pryor in the 23rd minute of play. Téo Rosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Téo Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 32nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Paly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lionel Paly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Arnout Reekers was a little too slow when Tory Pryor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tory Pryor was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Lionel Paly however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Téo Rosa took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Lionel Paly in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Tory Pryor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Wil 1900 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Wim Wilmes kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Lionel Paly made a huge save. With his leg Lionel Paly managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 85th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match Emilio De Luca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when David Eikelkamp put in a rough tackle. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Netherlands! With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lionel Paly made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 94th minute. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Wil 1900's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Lionel Paly despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. FC Wil 1900 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Netherlands for a fine match.
