Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Tomaszewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jan Tomaszewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 13th minute. Madaleno Baltanas kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Viriato Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Tomaszewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Felipe Barreto struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Jan Tomaszewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Pyrzyce in the 30th minute of the match. Felipe Barreto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Tomaszewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jan Tomaszewski, 1-2. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Pyrzyce in the 37th minute of play. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiu Ling Lang in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan Tomaszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Robert Augustyniak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Huang Kuan Liang sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute, Felipe Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Tomaszewski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The supporters of Zielonka Gdansk booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Qiu Ling Lang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Zielonka Gdansk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gottfrid Asklöv to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Zielonka Gdansk's Gottfrid Asklöv got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Bartolomeu Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Sebastian Pyrzyce tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 74 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Pimentel. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a free kick in the 76th minute.
