Ben Hart was slow to take the kick. During this time Zielonka Gdansk's players had a chance to rest. Ben Hart made a great header on Zielonka Gdansk's corner, it was just that Spain's Gabriel Ascaso managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski got control of the ball when Adria Bielsa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Omar Toledo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Tomaszewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The corner ended in Vicente Merino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski did a great save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Spain booed when Zielonka Gdansk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huang Kuan Liang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Toledo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jan Tomaszewski. Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jan Tomaszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 53rd minute of play. Madaleno Baltanas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Pyrzyce in the 56th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Augustyniak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Gabriel Ascaso made a huge save. Jan Tomaszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 65th minute of play. Jan Tomaszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Pyrzyce in the 71st minute of play. Robert Augustyniak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zielonka Gdansk's Walery Zawada was substituted for Ben Hart. Spain's Carles Cherro was substituted for Omar Toledo. After having played for 75 minutes, Adria Bielsa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adria Bielsa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carles Cherro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spain made a substitution. Pau Herrero replaced David Aranda. Sebastian Pyrzyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere.
