An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonny Kleen in the 32nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tzvetoslav Desov having to interfere. Vitko Kozlov might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitko Kozlov ran back to his position shaking his head. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. The wind increased when Frank Sachs made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hristo Stoichkov in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albin Holweck kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match.
