Waldemar Pawlik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 minutes of play, Hungary's Major Barna made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldemar Pawlik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Waldemar Pawlik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 47th minute of play forced Chelmza Team's goalkeeper Waldemar Pawlik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Lu Yuan Yin might have been able to make a better finish in the 50th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodor Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lu Yuan Yin ran back to his position shaking his head. Chelmza Team's Waldemar Pawlik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Chelmza Team from getting a goal against them. Chelmza Team's Lu Yuan Yin got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute Lu Yuan Yin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Chelmza Team's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldemar Pawlik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelmza Team's goalkeeper Waldemar Pawlik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Hungary booed when Chelmza Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbigniew Boniek didn't get a good kick on the ball.
