Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sreten Popovic got the match started through his kick off. Paulo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulão Negri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sreten Popovic's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Drasko Rajkovic had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulão Negri. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Drasko Rajkovic was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 21 minutes into the game, Zivko Cvetkovic threw the ball into play from the sideline. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Luís Gustavo Teles quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Borjan Golubovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulão Negri having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sreten Popovic in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulão Negri saved CE LAJEADENSE RS from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Serbia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leonel Martins fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sreten Popovic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Paulão Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borjan Golubovic in the 35th minute of play. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Marcinho das Neves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcinho das Neves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Paulão Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sreten Popovic in the 40th minute of play. Sreten Popovic might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulão Negri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sreten Popovic ran back to his position shaking his head. Serbia's Miljan Gavrilovic managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Caio Ramos in the 46 minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliézer Ramos was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Vladeta Jovic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Borjan Golubovic took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Paulão Negri to make any attempt to save it. Natanael Pinheiro made in the 65th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eliézer Ramos immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 70 minutes, Leonel Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Paulo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulão Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sreten Popovic in the 76th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Natanael Pinheiro in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Serbia's Momir Gisic. Paulão Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sreten Popovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in CE LAJEADENSE RS's zone, Sreten Popovic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulão Negri came out of the goal and Sreten Popovic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulão Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sreten Popovic in the 89th minute of the match. Leonel Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zvezdan Nedeljkovic having to interfere. The Serbia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
