Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sandro Galishoff started the match with the kick off. Marvin Harrer hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Kléber de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Farroupilha FC booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Kronecker didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jonas Nalder hit a great ball. Edu Gomes struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Fabio Auer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Farroupilha FC. Farroupilha FC's Luís Fabiano Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Schneider in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edu Gomes to make the kick off. Edu Gomes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Auer having to make a save. Edu Gomes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabio Auer firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 56 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Leonhard Maier. Emil Seidler charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Seidler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emil Seidler hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Fabio Auer didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 63rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. When Décio de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Farroupilha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio de Toledo couldn't finish the play. In the 90th play minute Edu Gomes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabio Auer. 0-2. After 94 played minutes Farroupilha FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Dracena. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Farroupilha FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
