Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Frank Sachs got the match started through his kick off. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. In the 5th minute of the match Varennes got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Théophile Berger ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Théophile Berger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. After 9 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Théophile Berger who took care of the corner kick. Théophile Berger made a great header on Varennes's corner, it was just that Germany's Tommy Kahn managed to reach the ball for a save. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gilberto Boone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Goudreau took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Maurice Odonnell didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 18th minute. Varennes's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After 21 minutes, Chris Mergenthaler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Varennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janik Vogt to maneuver through the defense. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Varennes's Seth Luke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 37th minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 43rd minute of play. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 44th minute. Linus Schwerner was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

52 minutes in the game, Albin Holweck fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gilberto Boone having to interfere. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. Varennes's Titus Pineda was substituted for Bernardo Goudreau. In the 63rd minute Germany were awarded a corner. Frank Sachs went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Frank Sachs almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Varennes's Gilberto Boone did a great save. Erwin Gay took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When Maurice Odonnell came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Varennes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Odonnell couldn't finish the play. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Boone was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball.
