Gabriel Ascaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bal op het Dak. In the 6th minute, Iwan Valentijn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Ascaso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Maurício Bomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 9th minute of play. After 9 played minutes FC Bal op het Dak got a freekick which was hit by Dan Kjellman. Gabriel Ascaso was a little too slow when Iwan Valentijn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. The supporters of Spain booed when FC Bal op het Dak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joop Bakker didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Kjellman got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iwan Valentijn. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwan Valentijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Adria Bielsa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When FC Bal op het Dak's Iwan Valentijn in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Spain's goalie prevented a goal. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwan Valentijn in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Iwan Valentijn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Ascaso was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Maurício Bomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 37th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, Spain's Omar Toledo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurício Bomba was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. Joop Meder replaced Aristides Gombal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Adria Bielsa made a precise shot to the right of Maurício Bomba. FC Bal op het Dak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. A collision led to FC Bal op het Dak getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Joop Meder hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FC Bal op het Dak's Joop Meder got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute Joop Meder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Bal op het Dak's Nico Hagenouw was substituted for Válbson Almeida. Spain's Carles Cherro was substituted for Omar Toledo. In the 71st minute FC Bal op het Dak were awarded a corner. Marick Brunt went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on FC Bal op het Dak's corner Marick Brunt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gabriel Ascaso quite easily take care of the ball. Maurício Bomba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carles Cherro in the 74th minute. Martijn August recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute Martijn August shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martijn August in the 78th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Kjellman came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Spain's Carles Cherro got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Spain made a substitution. Pau Herrero replaced David Aranda. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Kjellman in the 97th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Joop Meder got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gabriel Ascaso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FC Bal op het Dak succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Spain had controlled the match.
