İsa Ulaç made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 14th minute. If Tolga Yeğiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Tolga Yeğiner came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with İsa Ulaç in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 minutes of play, 1863 Boğaziçi Revizyon's Tolga Yeğiner made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of 1863 Boğaziçi Revizyon's İsa Ulaç. İsa Ulaç was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd minute Gazanfer Özcan Ayana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
