An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Paiva in the 13th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Luís Gustavo Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.F. Pindamonhangaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 21st minute, Zaccheo Andolina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Pindamonhangaba's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Gernando Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 68 minutes into the game, when Bozhin Bishkarov put in a rough tackle. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.F. Pindamonhangaba! Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Lorenzo Osasun sent off a good shot on target. A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Gernando Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, 傅瑜亮 threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zaccheo Andolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Guerra having to interfere. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Siricio Liotta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Siricio Liotta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gernando Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gernando Guerra came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Adriano Curto. But to his dismay, Adriano Curto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Gernando Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Curto in the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Italy were the better team. Italy's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
