Maxime Durand came out and tried to block the shot, but João Adolfo Simão slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, France's Remy Dupuy got a free kick in the 26th minute. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Tavares in the 27th minute of play. The referee ignored ✪ XV de Umarizal's protests and gave Frank Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ✪ XV de Umarizal getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Frank Paulista hit a great ball. Geovani Velasco hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Camille Baume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Frank Peletier came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the France fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Simão in the 42nd minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ✪ XV de Umarizal's Nelsinho Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Peletier in the 44th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Camille Baume notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of ✪ XV de Umarizal's Nelsinho Bastos. Nelsinho Bastos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
