Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chris Nygaard started the match with the kick off. Lars Steen struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Folker Ubels didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Bertram Svenningsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Lemel SV fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Lemel SV's Teun Schoenmakers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elmar Neijsen kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Folker Ubels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerard Keupink charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 36th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Teun Schoenmakers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After 42 minutes, Rinus Zoontjens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lemel SV and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. 41 minutes into the game, one of Lemel SV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Folker Ubels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teun Schoenmakers to make the kick off.
