Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Squadra de Pippe's Bruno Mazzone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 3rd minute of play. Javier Villarreal struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Gabriel Ascaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Squadra de Pippe. After having played for 6 minutes, David Aranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Aranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When David Aranda came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Spain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Aranda couldn't finish the play. Bruno Mazzone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 10th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Adria Bielsa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Mazzone. Squadra de Pippe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adria Bielsa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Filippo Gigli put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gabriel Ascaso. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippo Gigli in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Omar Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Mazzone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Omar Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Mazzone was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippo Gigli got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filippo Gigli made a kick off. Spain's Omar Toledo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bruno Mazzone in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Squadra de Pippe's Bruno Mazzone got control of the ball when Omar Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Squadra de Pippe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Omar Toledo 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. The corner ended in Jon Cubero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Squadra de Pippe's Bruno Mazzone did a great save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Spain eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
