Jörn Barck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Magdziarz in the 21st minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Karol Magdziarz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Vittori should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zaccheo Andolina to make the kick off. Sigfrido Auletta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Hampus Vall when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, Ken Golang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ken Golang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. BK Tåfjutt's Robert Lipinski was substituted for Huang Wei Hong. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ken Golang in the 71st minute of play. Siricio Liotta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Sostene Vitulli hit a great ball. After 77 played minutes, BK Tåfjutt's Kosmas Charalambakis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Vittori came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BK Tåfjutt reached it. Italy's Porziano Marchitelli got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Golang in the 92nd minute of the match. BK Tåfjutt's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Adriano Curto 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Adriano Curto took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Hampus Vall to make any attempt to save it. BK Tåfjutt succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Italy had controlled the match.
