With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zaccheo Andolina in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Holger Mattsson saved Hummerfiskarna from getting behind. Holger Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Italy booed when Hummerfiskarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Malmström didn't get a good kick on the ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Porziano Marchitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 minutes of play, Italy's Porziano Marchitelli made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Holger Mattsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Siricio Liotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Holger Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Queirós in the 67th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Queirós came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Hummerfiskarna got a freekick which was hit by Bjarte Paul. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 77th minute of play. Arnaldo Queirós succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 81st playminute. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Holger Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Curto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italy were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Hummerfiskarna to leave the ground with a draw.
