After some careless play in the Germany defense, Balvis Kiberkalns kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, Larry Houben cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdis Felbergs having to interfere. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdis Felbergs having to make a save. Cipriano Sauveur who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Tommy Kahn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cipriano Sauveur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Cipriano Sauveur could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Tommy Kahn however easily saved by the left post. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Cipriano Sauveur sent off a good shot on target. After 42 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. When Jakub Swierczok came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Black horses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakub Swierczok couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdis Felbergs was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Sauveur to strike the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Swierczok, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Sauveur in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 59th minute of play forced Black horses's goalkeeper Valdis Felbergs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atso Joenväärä, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Black horses's Bērtulis Ludbergs was substituted for Mpenza Setlaba. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Houben in the 65th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Sauveur in the 67th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Sauveur went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Valdis Felbergs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. After having played for 85 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atso Joenväärä took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Sauveur in the 94th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cipriano Sauveur in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind.
