The supporters of Hungary booed when Hurboc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Baumar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apalasuka Moco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Quintun having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Bakos Endre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Quintun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apalasuka Moco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Fodor Daniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 38th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Quintun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Katona Janos. Piotr Przewozik hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Bakos Endre with Antal Valentin as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 47th minute, Ermegildo Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apalasuka Moco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute Selami Baycan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hurboc's Joaquin Raulo was substituted for Toader Vancea. Hurboc's Damian Enekoitz was substituted for 俞德星. After 70 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ermegildo Theobald who took care of the corner kick.
