When Albin Holweck came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albin Holweck couldn't finish the play. After having played for 12 minutes, Alvaro Punta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ternana calcio fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Punta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tolek Rywin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by ternana calcio fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank Sachs was slow to take the kick. During this time Germany's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Germany's corner Malte Schiele fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aureliusz Podolski quite easily take care of the ball. Aureliusz Podolski didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Germany's Rolf Rothberg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Adrian Dreifuss kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. When Andrea De Vito fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ternana calcio fc's protests and gave Andrea De Vito a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ennio Bosso managed to get in a good position for a shot. ternana calcio fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Ennio Bosso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Ennio Bosso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Ennio Bosso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Germany booed when ternana calcio fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrea De Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Punta in the 56th minute of the match. Aureliusz Podolski didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Germany's Frank Sachs shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind ternana calcio fc's goalkeeper Aureliusz Podolski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anfilogino Pasquino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malte Schiele kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Amerigo Pugliese took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn.
