An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 26th minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Uğuralp Vasfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emin Bayram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Collen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Uğuralp Vasfi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uğuralp Vasfi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Uğuralp Vasfi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's Robert Collen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Belgium's Simon Sabbe quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Urbano Fidencio, made in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Simon Sabbe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Sabbe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. It was Emin Bayram who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urbano Fidencio during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uğuralp Vasfi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The KOO Tigers players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
