Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Million, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Million in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Roncourt's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Mounir Perry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eddy Million stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from J.P. Kapar in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Faustino Almeida made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fabricio Andrade immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Eddy Million's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
