Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Cristobal Eneto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Deportivo Marplatense's Thomas Kostakos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fabricio Andrade, made in the 3rd minute of the game. Cristobal Eneto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Pimentels short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Mikael Sjögren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 22nd minute, Cristobal Eneto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristobal Eneto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Deportivo Marplatense were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristobal Eneto took the corner. Deportivo Marplatense's Cristobal Eneto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilson Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 33 minutes into the match, Deportivo Marplatense's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Mikael Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Fabricio Andrade threw the ball into play from the sideline. Deportivo Marplatense's Thomas Kostakos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 36 minutes into the match, Deportivo Marplatense's Cristobal Eneto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Eneto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Eneto came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Graciano Coutinho came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mikael Sjögren could save by the left post. If Cristobal Eneto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute, Adolfo Raebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeo Cesario kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Marplatense's Cristobal Eneto. But to his dismay, Cristobal Eneto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 54 minutes into the match, Deportivo Marplatense's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Mikael Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikael Sjögren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 56th minute of the match. After 58 minutes Deportivo Marplatense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. Graciano Coutinho made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that Deportivo Marplatense's Mikael Sjögren managed to reach the ball for a save. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mikael Sjögren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 61st minute of play. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Eneto, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Eneto in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. In the 65th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Sjögren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Marplatense's Mikael Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 66th minute of play. Mikael Sjögren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikael Sjögren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Deportivo Marplatense's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Mikael Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Mikael Sjögren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 84th minute of the match. The corner led Portugal's Daniel Pimentel to fire away a dangerous shot which Mikael Sjögren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
