Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tolek Drab prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Drab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarne Kirkegaard to maneuver through the defense. Tolek Pysz charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tolek Pysz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Chłyt Materkindody got a freekick which was hit by Tolek Pysz. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Tolek Drab didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bogdan Miarka was slow to take the kick. During this time Chłyt Materkindody's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Bogdan Miarka almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Denmark's Keld Paulsen did a great save. Tolek Drab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 22nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Chłyt Materkindody's Tolek Drab got control of the ball when Bertram Svenningsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes in the game, Bertram Svenningsen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tolek Drab having to interfere. Tolek Drab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denmark's Lars Steen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Slawomir Dulka, made in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chłyt Materkindody's Tolek Drab was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tolek Drab. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Slawomir Dulka with Guadalupe Seracoyz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 44 played minutes Chłyt Materkindody got a freekick which was hit by Slawomir Dulka. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wasyl Bambas was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 54th minute of play forced Chłyt Materkindody's goalkeeper Tolek Drab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Denmark booed when Chłyt Materkindody was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Bambas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tolek Drab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 79th minute of play. Guadalupe Seracoyz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wasyl Bambas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tolek Drab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 93 minutes in the game Slawomir Dulka did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Guadalupe Seracoyz. In the 96th minute Wasyl Bambas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
