In the 2nd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, You Fei notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 11 minutes into the game, Halit Fahri Yalınay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Northern Lights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. A collision led to Northern Lights getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Halit Fahri Yalınay hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when You Fei came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Portugal booed when Northern Lights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halit Fahri Yalınay didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 18th minute of play forced Northern Lights's goalkeeper Başaran Ötüken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Northern Lights's Başaran Ötüken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 24th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Portugal's Viriato Moura made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Başaran Ötüken was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Başaran Ötüken having to make a save. 33 minutes into the match, Northern Lights's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Başaran Ötüken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Başaran Ötüken having to make a save. 41 minutes into the game, Portugal's Felipe Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Başaran Ötüken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Rodolfo Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rodolfo Miranda hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute You Fei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. You Fei's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. You Fei helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Northern Lights getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. You Fei hit a great ball. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portugal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Özgün Serbülend was slow to take the kick. During this time Northern Lights's players had a chance to rest. Nurkan Gündoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Northern Lights's You Fei. But to his dismay, You Fei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. 71 minutes into the match, Northern Lights's You Fei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Halit Fahri Yalınay hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. You Fei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from You Fei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Pimentel took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Başaran Ötüken. Başaran Ötüken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 87th minute, You Fei made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nurkan Gündoğan in the 89th minute of the match. Bartolomeu Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from You Fei in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
