After 38 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Gino Ribeiro. 44 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Makarewicz came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. The Mestre GG players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boguslaw Makarewicz made a kick off. Remigiusz Paciuszko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goalkeeper Remigiusz Paciuszko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Eikelkamp. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mestre GG throughout the match.
