But to his dismay, Sebastian Čech quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Linhartice's Rastislav Culek was substituted for Sebastian Čech. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 51st minute of play forced Linhartice's goalkeeper Miroslav Kukla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
