After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Norbert Major managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pogoń Szczecin's supporters rose to their feet, but Norbert Major was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carol Stinga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Sanda Cutov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastião Xoxe was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 65th minute of the match Romania got a corner. Pogoń Szczecin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sanda Cutov ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Romania's Octavian Vaduva getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Romania made a substitution. Alexandru Pangratiu replaced Alex Serban. 69 minutes into the match, Norbert Major notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Romania's Carol Stinga. Carol Stinga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The corner led Romania's Cosmin Barbulescu to a score. 3-2 in the 73rd minute. Pogoń Szczecin's attentive Cezary Jarocewicz managed to snatch the ball when Filip Stefan made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. The throw-in from Cezary Jarocewicz in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Romania's Vasile Ciumak. Carol Stinga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Major in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Stefanos Stefanopoulos notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Romania's Carol Stinga. Carol Stinga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Stinga in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Anton Stinga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastião Xoxe was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Sanda Cutov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebastião Xoxe came out and tried to block the shot, but Sanda Cutov slotted it home off the left post making it 4-4 in the 93rd minute. Despite being the better team, Romania failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
