The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Spain got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Sartori. Sebastião Xoxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Norbert Major's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Ascaso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 12th minute of play. Gabriel Ascaso was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Norbert Major capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Norbert Major really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Sebastião Xoxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 17th minute of the match. Sebastião Xoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Adria Bielsa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastião Xoxe was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Sebastião Xoxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Norbert Major had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Norbert Major could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Gabriel Ascaso made a huge save. In the 41st minute Adria Bielsa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Xoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norbert Major fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norbert Major was the one to do the kick off. Carles Cherro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Sebastião Xoxe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 90th minute of the game Jon Cubero made a throw-in which Sergio Ruiz played forward. Jonathan Criado kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Sebastião Xoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Ruiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Sergio Ruiz in the 94th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Pogoń Szczecin were victorious despite being under pressure from Spain for much of the match.
