Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Clive Shilton made a huge save. 26 minutes into the match, FC LIVERPOOL's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Clive Shilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Takacs Tibor took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clive Shilton. Clive Shilton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35thth minute of the game Eskil Stenkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clive Shilton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 42nd minute Eskil Stenkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Shilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clive Shilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 57th minute of play. Clive Shilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 62nd minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Clive Shilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Toni Adams's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eskil Stenkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Clive Shilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hungary's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
