Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Breton in the 3rd minute of the match. Ben Breton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. 5 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Breton came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Ben Breton made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 10th minute of play forced Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Tristan Franquis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Nelio Tielve got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 22nd minute Ben Breton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Portugal booed when Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wincent Kanczuszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th match minute, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wincent Kanczuszewski to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Franquis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Barreto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Tristan Franquis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Tristan Franquis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Imperio Catatumbo de Lara from getting a goal against them. Felipe Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Tristan Franquis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Felipe Barreto scored to the left of an out of position Tristan Franquis, making the score, 1-1. In the 46thth minute of the game Ben Breton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ben Breton made the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Raul Caetano with Daniel Pimentel as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The corner led to Portugal's Faustino Almeida getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ben Breton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Faustino Almeida threw the ball into play from the sideline. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Wincent Kanczuszewski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Viriato Moura put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tristan Franquis. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Senio Opazo was substituted for Nelio Tielve. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Edilberto Sanes was substituted for Wincent Kanczuszewski. Anastasios Machlas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Wilson Amorim skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 76th match minute, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Senio Opazo to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th play minute Anastasios Machlas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wilson Amorim. 2-2. After 91 played minutes Imperio Catatumbo de Lara got a freekick which was hit by Liu Liang Gang. 95 minutes into the match, Anastasios Machlas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anastasios Machlas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
