Arkadiusz Piatek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkadiusz Piatek, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Arkadiusz Piatek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arkadiusz Piatek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 29th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Puch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roch Puch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, AS Monaco FC's Arkadiusz Piatek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. A collision led to AS Monaco FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Slawomir Snow hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkadiusz Piatek, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Germany's Frank Sachs got a free kick in the 44th minute.

In the 55th match minute, AS Monaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludomil Galagan to maneuver through the defense. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. Arkadiusz Piatek took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 65th minute Arkadiusz Piatek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AS Monaco FC made a substitution. Jairo Guifre replaced Witalis Gecionis. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Ştef in the 70th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, AS Monaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Roch Puch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 86th minute. Jairo Guifre struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Monaco FC. In the 96th minute Jairo Guifre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AS Monaco FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
