A collision led to Estudiantes de La Plata getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Filomeno Flor hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Jilek came free, but Ertaç Bilek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Erik Jilek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ertaç Bilek was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Ertaç Bilek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Dostal in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de La Plata's zone, Denis Dostal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ertaç Bilek came out of the goal and Denis Dostal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Czech Republic's Alan Rezek got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Rameriz in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Roque Miro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roque Miro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de La Plata's Pedro Rameriz got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Denis Dostal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan Rezek got free with Ertaç Bilek in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Clemente Gabirel put in a rough tackle. 51 minutes into the game, one of Estudiantes de La Plata:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. David Rusil hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Ertaç Bilek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great ball. Alan Rezek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Estudiantes de La Plata booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalimil Charvat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vavrinec Holub came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de La Plata's Filomeno Flor. But to his dismay, Filomeno Flor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 93 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's Pedro Rameriz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vavrinec Holub narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ertaç Bilek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Rezek in the 97th minute of the match. Erik Jilek made a great header on Czech Republic's corner, it was just that Estudiantes de La Plata's Ertaç Bilek managed to reach the ball for a save. When the final whistle sounded Estudiantes de La Plata left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Czech Republic.
