In the 4th minute of the match Enhebrator FC got a corner. PIAUÍ FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jairo Hulberto ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Enhebrator FC's corner Jairo Hulberto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Serginho Nogueira quite easily take care of the ball. 6 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Flor came free, but Serginho Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Enhebrator FC's goalkeeper Bonifacio Baumer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baturhan Oytun spun around in front of the goal 11 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Enhebrator FC's goal. In the 19th minute, Baturhan Oytun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serginho Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Janiczek, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Artemio Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The coaching staff of PIAUÍ FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alfredão Prestes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 48 minutes into the game, one of PIAUÍ FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
Enhebrator FC's Dries van Veldhuizen was substituted for Bernard Janiczek. If Baturhan Oytun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Baturhan Oytun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bonifacio Baumer. Enhebrator FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baturhan Oytun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Carlos Calvet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Serginho Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Flor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Serginho Nogueira made a huge save. Serginho Nogueira came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Enhebrator FC's Dries van Veldhuizen. But to his dismay, Dries van Veldhuizen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 77 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goalkeeper Serginho Nogueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Calvet. PIAUÍ FC made a substitution. Leonel Fero replaced Renato Sá. In the 86th minute Baturhan Oytun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Baumer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Calvet in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Serginho Nogueira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Víktor Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Víktor Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th match minute, PIAUÍ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Santos to maneuver through the defense. Enhebrator FC's Jairo Hulberto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 98th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Serginho Nogueira but with some difficulty.
When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Enhebrator FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
