Prospero Bortzaioriz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Antonio Vespucio Liberti's zone, Edgardo Nardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lázaro Odon came out of the goal and Edgardo Nardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Baudelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lázaro Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arsenio Maldonado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Joaquin Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Arsenio Maldonado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ZORZAL01 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Antonio Vespucio Liberti made a substitution. Benedicto Baudelio replaced Desiderio Oliveiro. In the 74th minute, Ubaldo Rexino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, ZORZAL01's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Tajo came free, but Florentino Demario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florentino Demario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Paez in the 80th minute of play. If Arsenio Maldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ZORZAL01 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
