Denmark's attentive Simon Bendtsen managed to snatch the ball when Juliusz Jaszcz made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. A collision led to Chłyt Materkindody getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tolek Pysz hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasyl Bambas in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Chłyt Materkindody got a corner. Denmark's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bogdan Miarka ran over to the corner to take the kick. Juliusz Jaszcz was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
