Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Zoil Pequeño made the kick off and thus started the match. Jose Boldu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 4th minute of play. Zoil Pequeño received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilson Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Zoil Pequeño slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. In the 8th match minute, Deportivo ScrugenFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. Zoil Pequeño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Jose Boldu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 19th minute of play. Zoil Pequeño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Deportivo ScrugenFC's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Jose Boldu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Portugal's Felipe Barreto in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalie prevented a goal. 33 minutes into the match, Faustino Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Boldu. Deportivo ScrugenFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Boldu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Jose Boldu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 37th minute of play. After 38 played minutes Deportivo ScrugenFC got a freekick which was hit by Kieth Hustinx. 39 minutes into the game, Renato Tapia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo ScrugenFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. In the 41st minute of the match Felipe Barreto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jose Boldu skillfully saved the ball. Viriato Moura scored 1-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Boldu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the game, Daniel Pimentel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jose Boldu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. Faustino Almeida's late challenge caught a Deportivo ScrugenFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Romário Macedo was substituted for Franky Flam. Faustino Almeida hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Faustino Almeida in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo ScrugenFC's Fortun Bobes. 64 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Zoil Pequeño came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Zoil Pequeño came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Deportivo ScrugenFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zoil Pequeño couldn't finish the play. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zoil Pequeño went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo ScrugenFC's Leobardo Padierna. But to his dismay, Leobardo Padierna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. In the 80th minute, Leobardo Padierna made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. Leobardo Padierna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Leobardo Padierna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deportivo ScrugenFC made a substitution. Zeng Jian Cheng replaced Doriva Saldanha. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Leobardo Padierna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Jose Boldu made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Bartolomeu Dias sent off a good shot on target. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
