In the 2nd minute of the game, Ezequiel Mendonça landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Squadra Sulista's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Kasper Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renato Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Squadra Sulista's Felippe Monteiro got a free kick in the 13th minute. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, Squadra Sulista's Renato Carvalho tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Katona Janos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Kasper Schmeichel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Balazs Lajos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Kasper Schmeichel made a huge save. Genílson Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Maciel in the 65th minute of play. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 69th minute of play forced Squadra Sulista's goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Squadra Sulista's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Carvalho in the 80th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Squadra Sulista's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kasper Schmeichel came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genílson Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Hungary were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
