Paw Nibelvang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 24th minute of play forced FC Gamla Stan's goalkeeper Paw Nibelvang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Gamla Stan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paw Nibelvang should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC Gamla Stan's Paw Nibelvang. Paw Nibelvang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, FC Gamla Stan's Héctor Quintero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. After 46 played minutes Vatan Nass rounded Netherlands's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-4.

In the 75th minute Teddi Suutari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lars Meesters's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paw Nibelvang was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Gamla Stan.
