Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank Sachs started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Menofta got a freekick which was hit by Josef Strömberg. In the 3rd minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Brudzisz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Viklund in the 16th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tanek Brudzisz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mieszko Puzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Josef Strömberg sent off a good shot on target. Albin Holweck charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Holweck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. After having played for 42 minutes, Lars Viklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menofta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Viklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars Viklund to make the kick off. After 63 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Willy Stieler. Pär Lindqvist missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 65 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Tommy Kahn right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Tanek Brudzisz in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute of the match Germany got a corner. Menofta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Frank Sachs almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Menofta's Tanek Brudzisz did a great save. The supporters of Menofta booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Tanek Brudzisz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Menofta getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Patrick Klack hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Viklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Germany's Willy Stieler got a free kick in the 88th minute. When Lars Viklund came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Menofta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Viklund couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 91st minute of play forced Menofta's goalkeeper Tanek Brudzisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Viklund in the 92nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
