The supporters of Hungary booed when SS SuperSonics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Jandryca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerzy Dudek having to make a save. In the 19th minute, Wincenty Chlebek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 26th minute. Szekeres Tamas made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Major Barna. 33 minutes into the match, SS SuperSonics's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Jerzy Dudek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Wincenty Chlebek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerzy Dudek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincenty Chlebek in the 86th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Wincenty Chlebek put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fodor Daniel. When Wincenty Chlebek came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SS SuperSonics fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincenty Chlebek couldn't finish the play. Hungary were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
