The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fredric Hybbert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carol Stinga came out and tried to block the shot, but Fredric Hybbert slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 88th minute. Alaaddin Solskjær showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasvan Cristescu in the 93rd minute of the match. Romania walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
